The SL-3101 Scotopic/Photopic Meter is a dedicated meter with a software package to carry out on board calculations of the S/P ratio, perceived brightness and visually effective light level of a light source. It is calibrated to NIST standards and follows the CIE action spectrum.

PMA2100 Data Logging Radiometer

The PMA2100 Data Logging Radiometer and light meter is a NIST calibrated research grade meter which can accept over 135 standard and custom sensors from the PMA range. The on-board data logging software allows data to be stored at point of measurement ready for download later. It is also possible to stream data live to a PC, laptop or tablet in the field. Sensors have their own intelligence built in, so any sensor will work with any PMA meter and any meter will work with any PMA sensor.

We can conduct color fastness testing and accelerated life testing to determine durability

  • Textiles

We can test for color fastness and degradation under persistent UV exposure. Accelerated UV testing will assist you in opting to add more UV inhibitor or choosing another textile entirely.

  • Paper Products

Most paper products fade soon after being exposed to light. We will test for fade resistance to conclude if the material will fade and how long it will take to do so.

  • Plastics

We will test acrylics, plastics, vinyl, Polycarbonate, PE, ABS, PET, HIPS, and other synthetic materials for color fastness and degradation. All tests follow ASTM standards G155, D2565, D4459 and more. We can also put the plastic through an environmental weathering test with results ready in just a few days.

We also conduct accelerated indoor fluorescent UV testing, to prove how fluorescent light sources affect paints, wall coverings, coatings, fabrics, curtains, furniture, medical packaging, and disposables.
