PMA2100 Data Logging Radiometer

The PMA2100 Data Logging Radiometer and light meter is a NIST calibrated research grade meter which can accept over 135 standard and custom sensors from the PMA range. The on-board data logging software allows data to be stored at point of measurement ready for download later. It is also possible to stream data live to a PC, laptop or tablet in the field. Sensors have their own intelligence built in, so any sensor will work with any PMA meter and any meter will work with any PMA sensor.

Over the past several decades, Solar Light Company, Inc. has emerged as one of the leading worldwide manufacturers of radiometers, UV meters, precision light sources, and many other products. Our customers continuously use our products to find solutions to problems and make amazing technological, scientific, and medical advancements. Specifically, we’re proud that many of the products we offer through our Solarmeter® line have recently been used by organizations that actively seek to prevent and treat skin cancer.

For over forty years, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland has been helping those who suffer from cancer get the care and support they need to live better lives. Additionally, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland has also developed numerous cancer prevention programs so that they can aid in reducing a person’s chance of developing cancer during his or her lifetime. This charity relies on the Solarmeter Model 6.5 UV Index Meter, which is used in the Irish government’s ongoing skin cancer prevention initiative which started in 2011, to detect early signs of cancer and discover new means of prevention.

If you’ve been following us the last couple of months, you may have also read about how our Solarmeter Model 5.7 Sensitive Total UV (A+B) Meter has also been used to help find relief for those suffering from xeroderma pigmentosum (XP). XP is a rare disease that inhibits a person’s ability to be subjected to UV for long periods of time, and that can cause severe blistering and sunburn. With this device, many global XP support groups have worked to find ways to keep those with XP protected from the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Aside from these durable Solarmeters, Solar Light Company, Inc. also offers a full line of UV light sources (solar simulators) from 150-1000+ watt for a variety of applications including materials testing, PV panel testing, sunscreen pre-irradiation, and photobiology. A large selection of pyranometers are also available for related applications.
