We Are Excited to Announce that Our Accelerated UV Testing Services Now Includes UVC Wavelengths

Here at Solar Light Company, we do much more than provide state-of-the-art ultraviolet sensors, solar sensors, solar simulators and many other great products. We offer Accelerated UV Testing services that our customers (like you) have counted on to help you have a better understanding of how your products will stand up to the UV light.

So, you can see why we are very excited to announce that our Accelerated UV Exposure Testing services now include UVC wavelengths.

What We Need To Know If You Choose This Great New Service

First and foremost, you will need to let us know about the light source and application so that we can begin designing the correct test protocol. Next, you must tell us what the UVC irradiance is a particular distance away from the light source in the usual application.

What Happens During A Typical Test

As you should know, UVC energy is typically utilized for disinfection applications in water and air, and is commonly generated by 253.7nm wavelength sources.

With this data, we calculate the dose’ needed for the degradation period you are interested in and perform the test. During the test, we can also provide colorimetry, reflectance, and transmission measurements that can quantify the degradation results. This way you can engineer and improve your products utilizing quantitative data based on test protocols that are repeatable and will provide real results.

Here is an example of the type of information we will need:

‘Suppose a germicidal exposure is in an environment which has an irradiance of ‘150 mW/cm² of 254 nm power for 2 hours per day. This information will allow us to calculate the dose that is required to perform the equivalent accelerated study.

If you opt for our Accelerated UV Testing services, you will have your results back in just a weeks, as it often takes us only seven and a half days to perform a test. Therefore, you will be well on your way to producing and releasing products that will keep your customers protected!
