The Role
You are the technical and application product expert that supports our ambitious commercial strategy to deliver growth of Solar Light’s health protection and environmental monitoring business.

A demonstrated success in technical and application support of high value, spectroscopy-based, analytical instrumentation to the pharmaceutical and/or environmental sectors is crucial. As are your strong technical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line technical and application support for Solar Light products
  • Conduct technical presentations
  • Maintain expert level-knowledge of Solar Light product offerings
  • Provide pre- and post-sales account development support
  • Coordinate and execute product demonstrations
  • Install, QC instruments and train our customers
  • Manage customer relationships

Qualifications

  • MS degree (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • 1-2 years in customer support, applications engineering, or related instrumentation role
  • Experience solving complex scientific problems
  • Experience teaching or training
  • Can-do, do-what-it-takes attitude
  • Ability to travel up to 25% overnight when required
  • Based in our Philadelphia, PA Headquarters

Manager, Commercial Operations

The Role
You will execute an ambitious commercial strategy to deliver growth of Solar Light’s health protection and environmental monitoring business.

A demonstrated track record of success in global sales and marketing of high value, spectroscopy-based, analytical instrumentation to the pharmaceutical and/or environmental sectors is crucial. As is experience working with distributor networks supported through inside sales and applications operations.

Responsibilities

  • Sell and promote Solar Light products through our direct and distributor network
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives to reach customer groups
  • Generate and qualify new sales leads and opportunities
  • Navigate orders through our customer’s purchasing process
  • Provide accurate sales forecast
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Manage customer relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field
  • 5 year’s sales/marketing experience in the life sciences or environmental monitoring market sectors
  • Proven track record of sales success and exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated experience in using marketing data analytics to drive sales
  • Thorough understanding of marketing channels (including traditional, digital marketing, SEO/Social Media, etc.)
  • Can-do, do-what-it-takes attitude
  • Travel up to 25% overnight when required
  • Based in our Philadelphia, PA Headquarters

Marketing Specialist

 The Role
You will plan and execute marketing initiatives to support an ambitious commercial strategy to deliver growth of Solar Light’s health protection and environmental monitoring business.

A deep understanding of the relationship between sales and marketing channels (i.e, including traditional, digital marketing, SEO/Social Media, etc.)is crucial. As is your ability to usedata analytics to shape marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, etc.)
  • Brainstorm and develop ideas for creative marketing campaigns
  • Collateral layout, creative design, eMail copywriting
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Develop and manage marketing calendar
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to meet marketing objectives

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in marketing, communications or equivalent with related experience
  • 1-2 yrs proven experience as digital marketing specialist or similar role
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools
  • Thorough understanding of marketing channels (including traditional, digital marketing, SEO/Social Media, etc.)
  • Can-do, do-what-it-takes attitude
  • Based in our Philadelphia, PA Headquarters
