The Impact of Sunlight on Human Health and the Environment

The effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure on human health and the environment continues to receive greater and more attention from the medical, educational and environmental communities. Since we introduced the world’s first solar simulator in 1967 for biomedical research, Solar Light’s products and capabilities have been providing critical information to support formulation, quality and safety decision making for Sunscreen Protection Factor (SPF) of cosmetics and the Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) of fabrics and textiles. Through the expertise and dedication of our people, our family of Solar Light laboratory products, and our family of Solarmeter® handheld sensors, we strive to contribute to the improvement of global health and the environment.
