Spectral Transmission Tests

Solar Light Company, LLC can provide accurate spectral transmission tests and analysis of materials in multiple spectra for any testing requirement. Using advanced spectroradiometers, monochromators, NIST traceable standard lamps, and NIST Traceable standard sensors, we can provide absolute spectroradiometric analyses with detailed reports, showing sample performance under strict parameters.

  • Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) Test Includes First 2 Samples

Solar Light performs accurate UPF testing for clothing and fabrics to all major worldwide standards: AATCC 183, BS EN 13758-1, GBT18830-2009, and NZS 4399 – please advise which you need, and we will perform the testing accordingly. We can include a UPF Certification Report as an option, which details the statistical properties of the measurements of your samples, as well as equipment used in the testing. You may optionally launder the article(s) prior to testing, please include that as a note on the Material Test Form, along with any other conditioning, location specifics and whether to include wet testing. Typical turnaround is cited as five (5) business days after we receive the prepared samples to test.

UPF Testing costs $250.00 and includes the first 2 samples.

    **Additional samples cost $75.00 each**

A UPF Certificate covering all samples tested is optional and costs an additional $75.00. Please select from the Testing Options below. Preferred sample size is 5×5 inches (or 13 x 13 cm); smaller samples may still be tested, down to a minimum size of 2” x 2” (5 x 5 cm). Testing is normally performed dry, however, wet testing may be requested; it will count as an additional sample.
